An update on recent writings and press

I’ve been a bit remiss in posting on this blog the last couple weeks, but I’ve still been busy writing. Here are a few recent articles—more to come next week, when I’ll start contributing to Benefits Buzz, a new blog.

Also, if my blog posting on this site is just not enough for you, you can follow me on Twitter, which I update with random thoughts and links almost daily.

Now, back to these articles…

I wrote March’s feature article for Employee Benefit Adviser“Media trends benefits every professional should understand.”

From the article:
New technology and a new digital experience are changing expectations for how, why and when people receive information. You might be able to argue that they are changing how we think. The top media trends today go way beyond influencing what is new or hip; they are fundamentally changing the way we experience the world.

EBA is a great publication targeted at brokers and consultants. Working with the team over there is great fun as you can tell from the podcasts and webinars we’ve done together. I’ll be contributing an article each month. April’s article will be about making consumer-driven plans successful.

Best Practices in Compensation and Benefits’ March 2009 print issue included my article “Why You Should Maintain Your Investment in Benefits Communications During a Down Time.” The article is available on Compensation.BLR.com and was part of February’s Compensation Ezine.

I’m also featured in the Employee Benefit News article “Looping them in” in the March 2009 print edition.

This article talks about importance of targeting communication to spouses and families who make up a large portion of health care costs. I also share some tips for making communication effective.

Big thanks to the editors of all these publications for letting me share my thoughts!
