In the world of HR and benefits communication, relevant information is everything. Whether considering health care reform, open enrollment or retirement plans, sources offering meaningful insight in an easy-to-read and user-friendly form are extremely important.
So, we want to share the resources that are our favorites. Check them out:
- Fistful of Talent. Kris Dunn and a super talented group of contributors offer advice on all things recruiting, HR, talent management, talent acquisition, social recruiting and more. If you only read one HR blog, this would be it.
- The HR Capitalist. Kris Dunn’s personal blog. Often offering HR advice using examples from professional athletics situations, Dunn approaches HR practices in a fresh, engaging way.
- HR Morning. With over 230,000 on their newsletter email list, this blog gives beneficial and up-to-date news, advice, insights and HR information for the masses.
- Kaiser Family Foundation. This non-profit features health care data that they produce as well as the latest and greatest from others, all in an effort to make sure that everyone has access to the same kind of info that insiders have.
- Kaiser Health News. This blog is a health care and policy information hub, both at the federal and state levels. Get current and accurate information here.
- The Health Care Blog. THCB runs guest posts by influential health care bloggers and features pieces by first-hand observers at the center of the stories that are transforming the health care field.
- Health Populi. Jane Sarasohn-Kahn is a health economist and consultant and offers thoughtful and critical insights around health, technology and our ever-changing health care system.
- Compensation Café. Their tagline describes them as serving up straight talk, original thinking and caffeinated discussion on everything compensation. That says it all. You don’t think comp can be an interesting topic? Check out this blog!
- Free-range Communication. Fran Melmed uses this space to talk about communication, HR, and the connection between business and individual health and well-being. Great topics and solid advice. Also look for recaps on #co_health, a monthly Tweet chat and radio show with great content.
- Good Company Blog. By providing cutting-edge articles from a psychology perspective, this blog answers the “why” to workplace behaviors along with alternatives for improving them.
- TLNT. With articles that give advice on everything from tips to impressing your boss to ways to engage employees, what’s not to like? (And, yes, they run our articles too!)
- HR Executive. The online version of HR Executive includes all the magazine content and great commentary from contributors like Carol Harnett, who covers benefits. (We are thrilled to be planning a new benefits conference with them!)
- EBN (Employee Benefit News). Get up-to-the-minute news and information for HR and benefits decision makers. Plus, take advantage of their many resources including magazines, websites, newsletter, web seminars and more. (We write for them from time to time!)
- Steve Boese’s HR Technology. Technology is the future of HR, and through his blog, Boese offers tips to make sure you aren’t left in the past. His approach to HR even includes a few references to barbeque.
- Ragan’s HR Communication. Organized, engaging and chock-full of valuable, easy-to-apply advice, this blog is not only highly informative but fun to read.
