Use takeaways from these events to boost engagement from your benefits communications

Written by Jennifer Benz | February 16, 2017

Employee engagement is the ultimate challenge—and reward—for benefits professionals. It’s the culmination of lots of hard work by many people on your team. While there’s no way to shortcut the process, there is a way to bolster your success rate—by tapping best practices in benefits communications and keeping up with how your employees are communicating with the world around them.

We are delighted to present several exciting events to keep moving your organization forward in 2017. Here’s a look at what’s on our calendar for the next few months:

  • We're delighted to participate in the 2017 Integrated Benefits Institute (IBI) Pre-Forum webinar series on How Intuit Uses Technology & Year-round Communications to Get Employees Fully Engaged in Benefits. Jen will join our client, Jen Gentry, Intuit’s Benefits Program Manager for Americas Benefits & Global Wellness Programs, to discuss how Intuit uses technology and year-round communications to get employees fully engaged in benefits. Join us Friday, February 24, 2017, at 11 a.m. Pacific Time.
  • Next month brings Corporate Wellness 2.0, the speaker series presented by Steelcase and Motivity Partnerships in New York. I’ll discuss how to drive benefits engagement with your communications in the series kickoff, More Than Words: Creating an Effective Communication Strategy, on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, 8:30–10:30 a.m.
  • I’ll be moderating a panel of retirement experts at the East Coast Defined Contribution Conference, presented by Pensions & Investments, March 19–21, in Miami. They’ll explain the practical and fiduciary uncertainties around the appropriate level and kind of investment advice they offer to participants in the session, Delivering Investment Advice Isn’t Easy, on Monday, March 20, 4:15–5:15 p.m.
  • The conference that focuses on building a positive culture, Bright Horizons’ 2017 Solutions at Work LIVE, in Austin, offers an opportunity to dig into what makes a great culture, how to support that culture, and the ROI—in recruitment, retention, and productivity—that comes with it. I’ll be presenting the pre-conference Marketing Boot Camp with two client partners, Rosemary Arriada-Keiper from Adobe Systems, and Sarah Lecuna from Intuit, on Tuesday, March 28, 2–4:30 p.m.

You can also catch me on a panel of benefits leaders to discuss how Marketing The Value Of The Benefits You Offer Can Make Them Better Understood, on Thursday, March 29, 2:30–3:30 p.m.

  • Human Resource Executive magazine’s annual Health & Benefits Leadership Conference in Las Vegas will give you BIG ideas for creating a winning health care, benefits, and wellness program for your organization, April 19–21. Catch the session I’ll be leading, Realizing an ROI in Benefits Communication, to learn how leading companies quantify the business value of an ongoing investment in employee benefits communication. You’ll come away knowing how you can better manage and budget for communications—as well as measure the success of your efforts. The session is on Thursday, April 20, 2017, 3:30–4:30 p.m.
