Everyone who knows me knows that I am a huge huge fan of the Taproot Foundation. They exist to ensure that all nonprofits have the infrastructure they need to thrive—enabling them to support our communities. Taproot links professionals who volunteer their expertise with the small community-based nonprofits who need their services. They reliably provide high-quality marketing, HR, strategy management and IT services at no cost to the nonprofits—because of the labor of these volunteers. They have awarded over 600 projects, valued at more than $28 million!
It makes perfect sense, then, that Taproot declared Labor Day their official holiday a couple of years ago. What better day to acknowledge the power of individuals’ time and labor to change the world?
