Health plan trustees and administrators are responsible for designing coverage that is cost-effective, attains the highest health outcomes, and is equitable for all, but it’s easy to fall off track. The Health Care Management Conference is designed to explore how to create a better plan for your entire fund through the whole-worker approach, focusing on how the health plan supports workers’ physical, mental, and professional well-being.

Workers face a number of barriers in accessing quality health care coverage. Identifying and overcoming these barriers are essential steps in ensuring the health of plan participants as well as the plan as a whole. In this session, Jen Schuster will join Karen Urban of Kaiser Permanente to address:

- Identifying the social determinants of health
- The role of targeted communication in improving participant health literacy
- Stigma and bias
- Strategies for success
