From the moment we heard about text4baby—a free, bilingual health education text messaging service for pregnant women and new moms—we were committed! We wanted to join forces in providing critical information to help moms give their babies the best possible start in life. And we loved how text4baby used a common form of technology to achieve this. That’s why we created a toolkit pro bono to help employers promote text4baby.
This month is National Infant Mortality Awareness Month (NIMAM). The U.S. infant mortality rate (6 in 1,000 live births) is one of the highest among developed nations, and text4baby wants you to join them and other national organizations to demonstrate the importance of women’s health and connect more mothers to health information through programs like text4baby.
Moms who enroll in the text4baby service between September 1 and September 30 will be entered to win one of three one-year supplies of Johnson’s Baby products, courtesy of founding sponsor Johnson & Johnson. Moms can enroll online or via text (texting BABY or BEBE to 511411), and all enrollees who are still active as of 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30 will be entered to win. Winners will be featured in text4baby communications, including social media, text4baby.org and text4baby Tuesday.
Text4baby is an easy and free service to promote to your employees. Download the toolkit to see how.
